Swiss-Belhotel International plans to open 479 hotel rooms in Indonesia by the end of next year, as the hospitality group expands rapidly in South East Asia.
The company operates a 145-strong portfolio of properties that includes hotels in Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the UAE, as well as others across Africa, Asia, Europe and Oceania.
It has been ramping up the launch of new hotels in Indonesia and plans to open two hotels by 2020.
The company will open the 227-room Swiss-Belhotel Darmo Surabaya later this year and the 252-room Swiss-Belhotel Solo early 2020.
In May, it opened the 104-room Swiss-Belinn Gajah Mada Medan in North Sumatra and the 150-key Swiss-Belhotel Bogor in West Java. This came before the opening of Swiss-Belhotel Serpong opened in southwest Jakarta on 1 June.
