Hospitality and healthcare-focused boutique practice H+A will design a high-tech preventative healthcare and wellness campus in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The multidisciplinary design firm, established in 2018, will provide advisory architecture, interior design and landscaping services for the 35,370m2 wellness campus.
Stas Louca, managing director at H+A, said: “We are delighted to be awarded a project whose design ethos is so similar to our own; to create opportunities for wellbeing in all senses of the term – enhancing the way we work, live and play through thoughtful designs that are relevant, creative and fit their intended purpose.”
Wellness Village in Jeddah is being developed by Anfas Medical Care Health Group (AMCHG) and is due to be completed in 2022, in line with the kingdom’s healthcare ramp up under Vision 2030.

Jeddah currently has 21 healthcare facilities, 17 hotels and nine retail destinations. The Wellness Village will add to this. The project will include a long-term care centre, women and children’s facilities, wellness clinics, a boutique wellness hotel and spa, sport facilities, as well as health-related F&B and retail outlets.
The masterplan is made up of three interconnected plots so they appear connected as a single campus within a wellness-focused landscaped area.
Mamdouh Albaqumi, CEO at AMCHG, said the healthcare facility would be among the most high-tech in Saudi Arabia.
“Modern technology has allowed us to offer a high level of service, in an economic manner, whilst reducing patient related errors and accidents,” he noted.
“In our Wellness Village, we will achieve this through the use of live visual feeds that allow immediate two-way communication and the transmission of vital signs in real time, allowing staff to respond prior to a medical event. This fundamental shift in medical transparency is a revolutionary development in healthcare.”
