For anyone looking for the latest innovations in textiles and wallcoverings, Heimtextil was the place to be this month. The 2019 edition of the world’s largest trade fair for home and contract textiles—held January 9-12 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany—drew nearly 70,000 visitors from 156 countries, including retailers, wholesalers, designers, furniture and bedding stores, interior designers, and architects. From botanical motifs and snake-like patterns to tech-forward products that do not sacrifice style, here are 10 of our favorite finds.
1. Exotique Wallcovering by Arte
The tropical flora and fauna of the jungle is the subject of the water-based ink on non-woven backing Exotique wallcovering collection—which falls under the Hookedonwalls brand manufactured by Arte. Here, Sabal depicts swaying palm fronds.

The multicolor knitted Spark by Création Baumann was a highlight in the Spirited + Diverse area of a trend booth conceived by performance fabric brand Trevira CS. Like all Trevira CS textiles, Spark is inherently flame-retardant.
8. Glasshouse by Sanderson

9. Atelier by Harlequin
The textures and brush strokes of mid-century pottery influenced the Atelier collection from Harlequin, also showcased in a booth organized by Style Library. This vinyl wallcovering channels all of the depth and softness of fabric.
10. Indigo Wallpaper by HP
